Code Of Conduct

The rules we work by

Maintain a clean, presentable appearance. Be polite and respectful with clients, neighbours and other trades at all times.

Standard hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Confirm any Saturday work in advance. No work outside agreed hours without permission.

Keep the site tidy throughout the day. Clean up at the end of each shift. Remove your rubbish. Protect finished surfaces.

No smoking or vaping inside or near the property. Take breaks off site and dispose of waste responsibly.

All questions, changes and requests from the client should be directed to Calico. Do not agree to additional work privately.

Protect floors, doors, fixtures and finished areas. Dust sheets and protection boards must be used where required.

Deliver work to a professional standard. Any defects must be rectified before moving on. Take pride in the finish.

Work safely at all times. Use appropriate PPE. Report hazards immediately. Follow site-specific risk assessments.

Do not photograph or post the client, their property or the project on social media without written permission from Calico.

Ensure your work complies with relevant building regulations and standards. Provide certification where required.

FAQs

Common questions

Payment terms are agreed before each job and outlined in your subcontract agreement. Invoices are processed on the agreed cycle.

Yes, provided they are agreed with Calico in advance and are suitably qualified. You remain responsible for their conduct and workmanship.

Direct the client to Calico. Do not agree to additional work or payment privately. All changes must go through us.

Contact your Calico project manager as soon as you are aware of a delay. The earlier we know, the better we can manage the client.

This is agreed per job. Where Calico supplies materials, they will be on site when required. Where you supply, costs must be agreed in advance.
